Project Overview

The project brief was to create a stylized floating island. This environment showcases a boat that serves as a traveling store that sells dreams in the form of tea. It is inspired by the book The Dallergut Dream Department Store, by Lee Miye, which tells the story of a department store where customers can purchase the dreams they will experience that night. In my concept I combined that with the aesthetic of Irani Cafe’s in India. This boat travels place to place, with colourful teas glowing in the glass jars and a vintage interior cafe combining fantasy and nostalgia.
